When the bones of new construction are initially presented to commence the scope of project work, it is a golden opportunity for a designer/client.The blank slate also creates an exciting collaborative opportunity to get to know the clients and vice versa.
These delightful clients were prompt decision-makers, positive thinkers and trusted the process. They knew immediately when we presented a conceptual style we both liked. The vision and relationship permitted us to create a litany of comfort and art working into a calm and relaxed coastal-feel second home. The highlight statements were the custom built lighted TV/wine bar in their great room and the independent floor-to-ceiling work areas of the home office in the study.
We included an array of interesting textures, coastal color palettes of mineral blues/whites/warm greys, natural fibers and washed and painted woods contrasting with porcelains, glass and wood fascia tiles.
