Sarah Anderson
Sarah is a practicing ASID PROFESSIONAL Member Interior Designer and a former ASID Chapter Board Director in Dallas TX and Chicago IL Chapters. The American Society of Interior Design requires adherence to a strict code of ethics, experience, education and project performance to meet their membership requirements.
She has been practicing award-winning residential interior design with her own firm, DESIGNING NAPLES INC. This involves practice in residential interior design, construction consulting, and project management in Naples FL for the past twenty years.
In Chicago, Sarah was the sole recipient of the coveted ASID “CELEBRATION OF DESIGN AWARD” competing against all practicing Chicago area interior designers for best interior home design. Sarah has received the ASID Presidential Citation for Distinguished Service to the ASID Organization over a period of years during her leadership with ASID in Dallas and Chicago.
Sarah has lived in Columbus OH, Birmingham MI and Wheaton IL during her formative years. She graduated with a double major B.A.in Art/Art Education and minored in French from WHEATON COLLEGE. Upon receiving her Bachelor’s Degree, she attended Chicago’s RAY-VOGUE SCHOOL OF DESIGN and then worked towards her MFA Degree at Northern IL University. Sarah has taught on all levels of education including as an adjunct professor position with COLLEGE OF DUPAGE in Illinois.
Throughout her life, Sarah has spent her “home away from home” in the Naples-Sanibel Island areas with her family. This is where she feels her heart has always longed to return and someday live. Sarah is the proud mother of two adult sons

Did you know the role of an “Interior Designer” can be very different than the role of an “Interior Decorator”?
All designers can take on the role of a decorator and work very successfully on your behalf. However, we can offer so much more for you and well before the decorating even begins. We bring licensed experience with systemized planning, demo, drywall, electrical, plumbing, reviewing blueprints with our trades. We bring in architects, engineers, CAD technicians and specialists when needed. Then we introduce the final selections and decorating of furniture, fabrics, color to the bones of that beautiful to-be-completed structure called “home”.
